INOCHI (Post-production)
Japanese music duo Heavenphetamine (Hiroki and Sara) cross Ukraine during the darkest and coldest winter of the full-scale war, moving only by public transport which has come under increasing Russian fire. Amid blackouts and bombardments, they chase warmth and human connection, turning cold nights into music and dance. As spring nears, their song Inochi (meaning “life” in Japanese) rises as a defiant anthem: proof that Ukraine fights not just to survive, but to live.
Directed by Megumi Lim, co-directed by Alem Kent, executive produced by Rimma Mayrechenko (ASAP Production), line-produced by Anna Diianchuk (ASAP), sound recording by Maryna Tarakanova
